Freeride freestle slalom mast - 65% carbon prepreg. Made in Italy

Il Crossover è l albero MaverX sviluppato per un uso polivalente nelle varie discipline dal freestyle al freerde e allo slalom nelle misure maggiori con il.rapporto qualità/prezzo migliore pur garantendo la tecnologia, l affidabilità, le prestazioni tipiche dei prodotti MaverX . Studiato per lavorare in modo ottimale con qualunque tipo di vela Crossover/Freeride e Slalom non camberate, è un allrounder ad alto contenuto di carbonio per surfisti che ricercano robustezza e affidabilità in un albero performante e leggero. Misure 370-490

Slalom race mast - 100% carbon prepreg. Made in Italy

È semplicemente l'albero MaverX dalle prestazioni assolute, per il quale si sono scelte le fibre tecnologicamente più avanzate ( elevato modulo e caratteristiche meccaniche) per creare un preimpregnato che avesse le caratteristiche da noi volute , necessarie per eccellere in questa disciplina estremamente tecnica. 
Lo studio delle curve è stato condotto in modo maniacale leggendo ed interpretando i feedback dei test dei nostri atleti in acqua. Non è stato trascurato nessun dettaglio perche in queste discipline sono i dettagli e un rig assolutamente perfetto che permettono di vincere.I nuovi Daytona Pro 430 e 460 sono alberi con un peso piuma e una risposta dinamica elevatissima. I modelli 490 e 530 sono stati costruiti con una fibra di carbonio ad elevatissimo modulo per sfruttare al massimo l'accelerazione e la risposta alle pompate delle vele Race su cui vanno montati. Il Daytona Pro 550 è stato costruito per vele Race e Formula che hanno bisogno di alberi estremamente leggeri e performanti in modo da trasmettere in modo efficiente ed efficace ogni raffica di vento alle vostre braccia attraverso il rig, senza dispersioni di energia.
Per il 2011 il concetto costruttivo e i risultati ottenuti si basano sia sull'uso di un tessuto estremamente performante impregnato internamente dal nostro R6D , sia sul design di una curva (constant/top flex) che mantiene tutta la potenza nella parte bassa della vela. Siamo riusciti cosi ad ottenere un profilo alare perfetto e armonico in tutta la vela, lasciandola libera di respirare sotto raffica nella parte alta . In questo modo la potenza viene resa disponibile dove puo generare la massima spinta ed accelerazione ( bottom) e rilasciata invece nella parte alta quando in eccesso. Abbiamo provato molte vele e i risultati trovano conferma nei test comparativi che confermano i miglioramenti ottenuti rispetto all ‘albero di serie.

Wave freestyle mast - 85% carbon prepreg. Made in Italy

Lo Stilo 2OO è un albero Wave Freestyle costruito con tecnologia prepreg 85% di carbonio, ad altissime prestazioni il cui reflex progressivo e regolare può ampliare il range di vento della vela su cui viene montato. È un albero dalle eccellenti doti in ogni condizione Wave, ma brilla per prestazioni in condizioni side-offshore dove i nostri tester e atleti a Maui e a Tenerife hanno messo a punto le sue caratteristiche. Questo risultato è stato ottenuto grazie al lavoro di ottimizzazione in fase progettuale e alla scelta delle fibre di carbonio con cui è costruito. Il 200 è un albero facilissimo da controllare che fa dell'affidabilità, della robustezza e della risposta dinamica la sua arma vincente. Rispetto al modello precedente è stato dotato di un rinforzo in zona boma e in penna con tessuto tecnico per proteggere le aree dai possibili impatti e della esposizione in penna d'albero che molte vele 2011 con vario top lasciano scoperta. Inoltre il bottom è stato ricoperto da uno speciale materiale trasparente che aiuta a proteggere l'albero e la grafica dagli urti e dai raggi UV. Crediamo che per un albero di queste prestazioni e valore sia un valore aggiunto apprezzato.

Wave freestyle mast - 100% carbon prepreg. Made in Italy- 

Lo Stilo 3OO è il nostro assoluto "top performer", un albero da gara, molto leggero e con una reattività molto spinta. Costruito con tecnologia prepreg al 100% di carbonio, è stato disegnato per ottenere una curva che non solo si adattasse al meglio alla maggioranza delle vele di nuova generazione, ma che ne esaltasse il potenziale in acqua. La leggerezza e la risposta dinamica dello Stilo 3OO sono percepite in modo sensibile nelle braccia del surfista che può "sentire" il vento spingere sulla vela. Questo si traduce in un comportamento attivo che facilita l'anticipo della planata specialmente in condizioni di vento leggero o rafficato. Caratteristiche che possono permettere anche l'uso di una misura in meno di vela. Rispetto al modello 2010 abbiamo modificato le curve per renderli ancora più esplosivi sulle vele 2011 che con uno stesso albero oggi coprono moltissime misure veliche. È un albero che eccelle sia nel freestyle dove l'accelerazione è fondamentale che nel wave on-shore dove è necessario uscire subito dalla zona critica di impatto a riva. Questa è la ragione per cui lo Stilo 3OO è la scelta dei migliori atleti delle due discipline per le loro competizioni. Inoltre, rispetto al modello precedente, è stato dotato di un rinforzo in zona boma e in penna d'albero con tessuto tecnico per proteggere queste aree dai possibili impatti e dalla esposizione nel top che molte vele 2011 con vario top lasciano scoperta. . Limited edition. Hardcore wave - 100% carbon prepreg-Made in Italy

Abbiamo voluto con questo albero completamente nuovo, taylor made, rispondere alle esigenze dei waver puri, coloro che escono in mezzo a onde in condizioni difficili. Abbiamo ascoltato le esigenze di chi pratica wave e "letto" le vele presenti sul mercato nei modelli pure wave. Il progetto consisteva nel costruire un albero che fosse reattivo come uno Stilo 300, ma che avesse la morbidezza in conduzione e in atterraggio dai salti di uno Stilo 200 . Un albero che resistesse a Back Loop impossibili dove gli effetti torsionali sulle fibre sono fortissimi. Un albero che nonostante fosse al 100% di carbonio, permettesse uscite sicure in condizioni molto impegnative , dove ridurre il rischio di rotture è un'esigenza progettuale primaria. L'unica soluzione, peraltro già utilizzata in passato da alcuni costruttori, era quella di mettere un ulteriore strato di fibre a 45°, ma i pesi e i risultati non erano quelli voluti. Il nostro Team ha lavorato duro; dai tester al R&D in un lavoro di sinergia unico ed esaltante. Dopo oltre un anno di lavoro e di test in acqua , abbiamo messo a punto lo stilo 1000 ltd utilizzando un materiale in fibra in carbonio di nuova concezione che conferisce oltre alle caratteristiche meccaniche tipiche di taglio e compressione anche eccezionali caratteristiche torsionali. Siamo i primi ad averlo.I test sono durati vari mesi e negli spot wave più difficili come quelli di Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Sylt, Tarifa, Sardegna. il 1OOO Limited Edition, èun RDM Xtra slim, 100% carbonio nato e sviluppato per l'uso principale in mezzo alle onde con vento forte e rafficato, dove la sicurezza, la reattività rilasciata in modo morbido nelle sezioni critiche dell'onda o nei salti, sono i punti di forza. 
Lo abbiamo testato sulle vele power wave su cui questo albero eccelle (Combat, Alpha, Atlas, Iron, Icon , Panther III , K.Onda, ,Ego, Force, Session,Lipwave….)
La zona boma e il top dell albero sono rivestiti da un rinforzo in tessuto tecnico per circa 50 cm, la base dell'albero è stato ricoperto da uno speciale materiale trasparente che aiuta a proteggere l'albero e la grafica dagli urti e dai raggi UV.
Riteniamo questo sia per i prossimi anni il benchmarking per gli alberi wave. Per noi questo è semplicemente ricerca e sviluppo. 
Essendo un prodotto taylor made ed il materiale non facilmente reperibile , sarà disponibile in tiratura limitata e con una serigrafia dedicata agli spot che ci hanno ospitato nei mesi di test. Disponibile nella misure da 340 a 430.

100% carbon prepreg. Made in Italy

Non gli abbiamo cambiato solo il nome. L EVO DS 100 raccoglie i successi, l'esperienza e la tecnologia del Fireball 200, rimane un Drop Shape , 100% carbonio prepreg e uno degli alberi piu leggeri e perfomanti presenti nel mercato. Abbiamo creato due linee distinte, usando carbonio e curve differenti a seconda delle misure, per ottimizzare il lavoro dell ‘albero sulle diverse vele e discipline.


EVODS 100 wave freestyle edition 370-400

E' un albero consigliato soprattutto per vele wave/freestyle neutre e/o a 4 stecche di ultima generazione ( Zone, Fly,Fly2, Firefly, Icon, S1,,Swat , Boxer, Riot, Ice, Duke, FreeG, ,BlackTip… ) . Il profilo SDM in base permette alle stecche di dare un profilo piu regolare alla vela , rendendola piu potente nella zona bassa dove si concentra la massima spinta (maggiore accelerazione) e al tempo stesso riuscendo a stabilizzare l ‘intero profilo della vela soprattutto , come già detto, sulle 4 stecche Il profilo si rastrema gia dalla zona boma fie no ad avere le dimensioni di un RDM nell ultima sezione del Top. 
Le caratteristiche di assoluto riferimento di reflex e leggerezza lo rendono un albero particolarmente indicato nel Freestyle moderno dove le manovre richiedono una velocità di esecuzione immediata in cui tutta la differenza la fa l ‘albero, il suo peso e il suo reflex.

EVODS 100 freestyle slalom edition 430-460

E' l ‘albero top di gamma maverX dedicato ad un uso freestyle per vento leggero, freeride, e slalom nella misura maggiore. 
Ha le stesse caratteristiche costruttive delle misure piu piccole, ma possiede una curva diversa e una scelta del carbonio ad altissimo modulo per esaltarne le caratteristiche di leggerezza reflex, ma soprattutto accelerazione. La sua rettività è ulteriormente aumentata quest‘anno.Siamo riusciti a fare un albero che riesce a far utilizzare fino ad una mezza misura in meno di vela a parità di condizioni di vento. E non è poco.
La combinazione perfetta la si ha con vele Freestyle da vento leggero, Freeride e Slalom non camberate per le quali invece consigliamo l uso del Daytona Pro. 
Anche per questo albero tutto il Team maverX ha lavorato davvero duramente perchè migliorare il Fireball 200 era davvero difficile. La buona notizia è che ci siamo riusciti.

Freestyle wave freeride mast - 65% carbon prepreg. Made in Italy

Con questo albero MaverX ha propone nuovi standard di performance e affidabilità ad un prezzo accessibile utilizzando la tecnologia prepreg e mantenendo la sua costruzione totalmente in Italia, unico sul mercato in questa percentuale di carbonio. Quest'anno, dopo un lungo lavoro di test e controllo sulle vele wave/freestyle di ultima generazione abbiamo creato l'evoluzione naturale lo Stilo 165 Heavy Duty.
Le curve come in tutti i modelli sono state modificate a seconda delle misure per tener conto del diverso uso nelle varie condizioni. Abbiamo rivestito l'area del boma con un tessuto tecnico di rinforzo per proteggere le aree dai possibili impatti. Le modifiche apportate hanno esaltato le doti di reflex e flessibilità sotto raffica, rendendo la conduzione facile e naturale soprattutto in condizioni di sovrainvelatura. Lo Stilo 165 HD è la scelta perfetta per uscite in condizioni on-shore molto impegnative che così frequentemente si ritrovano sulle coste europee. Disponibile nelle misure dal 340 al 460.

Reglass has designed and patented a revolutionary surface finishing - Sun Core^® - that adds strength and helps protecting the overall surface of the Mast during hot and cold temperatures. It does not increase  the weight of the mast. In fact it consists of micro particles linked and encompassed at a molecular level of the structure. Will Ward on Fuerte's North Shore

Thomas Traversa has chosen to use MaverX masts. Having tested a number of masts from different manufacturers Thomas has decided to use the Stilo 300 for this years PWA and “Classic” wave events.
British sailor Will Ward who is probably best known for featuring in many of the extreme wave riding videos filmed on Fuerteventura’s North Shore has also been signed onto the international team. Up to double mast high waves breaking onto sharp volcanic rock are the ultimate test for any mast, this is Will’s adopted home and the MaverX testing ground
Being independent of any sail brand MaverX have constantly developed their masts to be compatible with as wide a range of sails from differing manufacturers as possible. Not only are the masts combatable with most sails but due to their high response rates they will often improve the sails. The development is continuous with the latest masts tweaked and tuned to match the very latest trends in sail design.

MaverX Masts are now available for testing in both OTC centres in El Medano, Tenerife and Weymouth, UK.
In MaverX, we very well know that one of the big questions everyone is asking when buying a mast is “will it be a MaverX mast OK for my sail”? Not only we can answer YES it will, but it will also have a huge improvement on your rig performances such as earlier planing and better rig handling.
Sounds kind of a biased opinion? Well , it is not but it couldn’t be differently, we agree. Our international results and our athletes competing with different sail brands can prove that for real… but who better than you, the customer, can answer to that fundamental question judging by yourself? An dthere are well known names on the team like top freestyler Mattia Pedrani, Dani Aeberli, Fabiao Calo or big waverider Franciso Porcella.
OTC is possibly the most prestigious test centre in the globe. Having a huge, always up-to-date board and sail selection in 2 amazing completely different spots ,will give you the choice and chance to use any given sails mounted with the original brand mast and comparing it WHEN powered by a MaverX mast. You can try WAVE and Freestyle/wave RDM masts in 85% and 100% (Stilo 200 and Stilo 300) as well as pure freestyle and freeride Masts 100% (Fireball 200).
We encourage you to do this first because we like YOU TO BE OUR TESTER but also to let you feel how important is a good mast and how the whole rig can change USING a MaverX mast. A mast is not an appendix of a sail , it is its spine. As with fins for a board it can turn completely the behaviour of a sail. Please change, experiment, evaluate, be the most severe judge of your own equipment and our machines.

MaverX Masts Compatibility

MaverX have worked hard to ensure their masts not only rig the vast majority of modern sails well but often enhance the sails performance compared to even the sail brands own masts. After a lot of testing and development we can say that MaverX masts work very well with Simmer, Neil Pryde, North, Severne, Tushingham,  Challenger, Ezzy, Naish and Goya sails.

It should be noted that we don’t just stick to a set curve across all sizes of masts. 

We analyse exactly what each mast will be used for and the type of sails that are likely to be rigged on it. 

Each mast is then fine tuned to offer the most performance possible in those conditions. 

A 460 mast is not used in the same way a 370 might be and each of our masts are tuned to reflect this. 

All our masts are constant curve. Please contact your local dealer who will have the exact figures for each mast.

Me and my team riders have been using MaverX masts in all our Ezzy sails for years. The masts work at least as good as the original Ezzy masts, The bend curve fits perfect. Depending on which MaverX chosen, they are cheaper or lighter and/or stronger. "The masts are both more then perfect. As I just move on from SDM to RDM, the difference I feel is awesome. The sails feel extremely light at hands with those masts. What is also good that they fit perfectly to my NP sails. Before I had to always set the base 2cm longer then the NP defines to get the perfect shape and twist. Now, having those masts, the problem
disappeared and I set the base exactly the same as the each single sails requires. A little problem is that the sails are also more powerful, so might consider buying smaller ones. Instead of 4.7 and 5.2 something like 4.5 and 5.0"

Richy - Stilo 300 with 2010 Simmer Icons and Irons

"Had an afternoon on my 5m icon with the 400 mast , it was quite gusty, choppy and patchy and about 25mph gusting 45mph ,others blown off the water on 4m , 4.2m and 4.5m at the windiest. next day out on the 5.7m iron and 430 mast , not as windy but not as gusty patchy either . the sails look different on the beach compaired to the ezzy and powerex masts, i set them on the maverx with the leach loose half way across the sail between batten 1 and 2, that makes the leach a quarter loose between battons 2 and 3 , and a tiny bit loose between batons 3 and 4 . the ezzy mast makes the leech fall away dramaticaly only beween battens 2 and 3 .

on the water the sails felt really good , not as front handed , just a touch, also had a very smooth power delivery , still powerfull and no body could keep up with me so fast as well. tried them with less downhaul as well , almost a tight leach but didnt like them like that ,felt very graby when getting going and didnt keep planing very well, so put the downhaul back on and shot off the beach again at full speed. the tips of the sails wag around a bit like an ezzy sail as well , noticed more on the iron, could just be i had a touch more downhaul on it though. all in all I think they feel like an upgrade compaired to the ezzy and just a touch better than the powerex. more testing to follow next windy day."

I have tried my 5.3 on a 400 bottom and 430 top and it works very well, its suppose to rig on a 400 but is just a little soft, this combination is good and the sail seems perfect.

We are half way through the Fuerteventura Wave Classic which has had some very big conditions, nearly double mast high.
More news is that Thomas Traversa has been testing out masts for the past year along with other brands and he has decided to use MaverX Stilo 300 this year for all his PWA and Wave Classic events. We are really please to have Thomas on board as it is hard to sign up PWA sailors as they are normally tied into contracts with their sail sponsor. The fact that Thomas tested and then chose MaverX above his sail sponsors masts says a lot for how compatible MaverX masts are with most sail ranges.

Interview with Claudio Cazzara MaverX brand manager. FWC = Fuerteventura Wave Classic organisers.

FWC: Hello Claudio, how did you hear about the FWC

Well, being a windsurfer myself , I knew about the FWC from the beginning, three years ago. It was just the community tam-tam.

FWC: What is your favorite aspect of the FWC

It is about the same spirit on which the FWC it based itself. The “insider” judgment method makes the whole think less passive from a rider point of view yet not less competitive. The other great factor is about the place where it is hosted, a pure paradise for windsurfing and great venue for a manufacturer to prove their quality.

FWC: How long have you been making masts?

It is more than 20 years now!! It might not have been that known that Reglass has been the first company in the world to produce the first CARBON mast in prepreg. We have been the manufacturer for almost all the biggest sailmakers when we decided to create our own brand MaverX that is on the market since early 2000. We proved our technology in 2004 when we helped Finnian Maynard to set the new world speed record with a standard production RDM mast!

FWC: Do you focus only in wave masts ?

Oh no, we do not! We have a full range of masts from hardcore wave to freeride and slalom/race both RDM and SDM although only in high carbon content ( 65 % to 100%).

FWC: we have a good forecast for big waves, why are your mast so good?

It is a blend of few ingredients: :Innovation, technology, experience, team work, passion for details and for the this sport. Our chemical guys look always for the newest material available on the market to have the best possible mechanical response (reflex) and resistance of course. Then we send our masts to our testers which ride different conditions and different sails to be sure we match with the adequate curve almost all type of sails. We hear their feedback, we mix the all things together with passion and voila. The whole process which is here 2 lines is about a window of time of around 18 months…every time, every model and for all sizes. To set up our newest top performing wave rdm , X1000 Limited edition, we have started to working to the project in 2009.

The competition is by invitation only and the riders will judge themselves to ensure sportsmanship and fairness there will be  an independent head judge to oversee the event.
