RDM • On the Stilo150 MaverX has set new limits of performance and durability together with a quality/price ratio never reached until now on this carbon content range and prepreg technology. Tested and tortured for several months in the worst possible conditions in the Canaries by our ProTeam, the Stilo 150 reflex and flexibility resulted in the highest standards. Matched with an awesome durability and an energy saving easy control when in overpowered conditions, the Stilo 150 is the perfect choice for those difficult sessions in on shore conditions that so frequently hit the European coasts. There is no better and trusted friend on those days.

RDM • The Stilo 200 is a high performance Wave/Freestyle mast whose progressive and regular reflex can extend the range of wind of every given sail. It is an excellent mast in every level of wave conditions and it shines in side-shore conditions where our testers in Maui had the chance to set up its performances. These results have been possible by a maniacal design optimization and the specific selection of the carbon fibres used. The result is our Stilo 200 a mast that has top cruising control, durability and reflex as the weapons to excel on water.

RDM • The Stilo 300 is our top performer RDM mast, one of the lightest on the market with the highest reflex produced by MaverX. This is the Mast that first broke the world speed record after 11 years. Manufactured with a high module 100% prepreg carbon fibre it has been shaped to obtain a curve that best suits the majority of sails therefore exploiting their maximum potential on the water. The lightness and responsiveness of the Stilo 300 is really perceived in the arms of the sailor who can feel the wind thru the sail. All this is translated  into a very active action that allows an anticipated acceleration especially in light wind conditions. This is the reason why this mast is appreciated by both waver and freestyler pros; the first in need of a very reactive sail on the most critical section of waves the second looking for a burning acceleration to close their moves. This is the reason why this mast won the European Freestyle Tour and has been a choice of top athletes. This is the reason why the Stilo 300 is a dedication to all those riders who just want all chances to win or just all changes to keep on planing and having fun. Always.

Reglass has designed and patented a revolutionary surface finishing - Sun Core® - that adds strength and helps protecting the overall surface of the Mast during hot and cold temperatures. It does not increase  the weight of the mast. In fact it consists of micro particles linked and encompassed at a molecular level of the structure. The dense net of these metallic particles forms a sort of shell for the mast surface: this new structure gives a quicker mast response and by the reflecting power of the micro particles it keeps the surface temperature lower, this being particularly useful in hot climate.

Ward & Traversa on MaverX masts

Ward & Traversa on MaverX

MaverX masts announce two new signings to their international team…
Will Ward on Fuerte's North Shore
Will Ward on Fuerte's North Shore
Thomas Traversa has chosen to use MaverX masts. Having tested a number of masts from different manufacturers Thomas has decided to use the Stilo 300 for this years PWA and “Classic” wave events.
British sailor Will Ward who is probably best known for featuring in many of the extreme wave riding videos filmed on Fuerteventura’s North Shore has also been signed onto the international team. Up to double mast high waves breaking onto sharp volcanic rock are the ultimate test for any mast, this is Will’s adopted home and the MaverX testing ground
Being independent of any sail brand MaverX have constantly developed their masts to be compatible with as wide a range of sails from differing manufacturers as possible. Not only are the masts combatable with most sails but due to their high response rates they will often improve the sails. The development is continuous with the latest masts tweaked and tuned to match the very latest trends in sail design.

MaverX masts are in the OTC now for test drive

MaverX Masts are now available for testing in both OTC centres in El Medano, Tenerife and Weymouth, UK.
In MaverX, we very well know that one of the big questions everyone is asking when buying a mast is “will it be a MaverX mast OK for my sail”? Not only we can answer YES it will, but it will also have a huge improvement on your rig performances such as earlier planing and better rig handling.
Sounds kind of a biased opinion? Well , it is not but it couldn’t be differently, we agree. Our international results and our athletes competing with different sail brands can prove that for real… but who better than you, the customer, can answer to that fundamental question judging by yourself? An dthere are well known names on the team like top freestyler Mattia Pedrani, Dani Aeberli, Fabiao Calo or big waverider Franciso Porcella.
OTC is possibly the most prestigious test centre in the globe. Having a huge, always up-to-date board and sail selection in 2 amazing completely different spots ,will give you the choice and chance to use any given sails mounted with the original brand mast and comparing it WHEN powered by a MaverX mast. You can try WAVE and Freestyle/wave RDM masts in 85% and 100% (Stilo 200 and Stilo 300) as well as pure freestyle and freeride Masts 100% (Fireball 200).
We encourage you to do this first because we like YOU TO BE OUR TESTER but also to let you feel how important is a good mast and how the whole rig can change USING a MaverX mast. A mast is not an appendix of a sail , it is its spine. As with fins for a board it can turn completely the behaviour of a sail. Please change, experiment, evaluate, be the most severe judge of your own equipment and our machines.
OTC will offer you an amazing opportunity since you can do all that quickly, easy AND IN THE SAME DAY exploiting the same external conditions and your physical conditions that tends to vary. Ben Wood in Tenerife and Tris Best in Weymouth will assist you with their dedication and expertise. We are not fishing for compliments therefore we challenge you to find and tell us not only the goods of our Masts.

MaverX Masts Compatibility

Compatibility

MaverX have worked hard to ensure their masts not only rig the vast majority of modern sails well but often enhance the sails performance compared to even the sail brands own masts. After a lot of testing and development we can say that MaverX masts work very well with Simmer, Neil Pryde, North, Severne, Tushingham,  Challenger, Ezzy, Naish and Goya sails.
It should be noted that we don’t just stick to a set curve across all sizes of masts.
We analyse exactly what each mast will be used for and the type of sails that are likely to be rigged on it.
Each mast is then fine tuned to offer the most performance possible in those conditions.
A 460 mast is not used in the same way a 370 might be and each of our masts are tuned to reflect this.
All our masts are constant curve. Please contact your local dealer who will have the exact figures for each mast.
Please read below some sailors real world experience of using our masts.

Bouke Becker - Team Ezzy

Me and my team riders have been using MaverX masts in all our Ezzy sails for years. The masts work at least as good as the original Ezzy masts, The bend curve fits perfect. Depending on which MaverX chosen, they are cheaper or lighter and/or stronger. They carry a better guarantee and have some nice functional details.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jan Novak – Stilo 370 and 400 with Neil Pryde Combats 2008 – 2010
"The masts are both more then perfect. As I just move on from SDM to RDM, the difference I feel is awesome. The sails feel extremely light at hands with those masts. What is also good that they fit perfectly to my NP sails. Before I had to always set the base 2cm longer then the NP defines to get the perfect shape and twist. Now, having those masts, the problem
disappeared and I set the base exactly the same as the each single sails requires. A little problem is that the sails are also more powerful, so might consider buying smaller ones. Instead of 4.7 and 5.2 something like 4.5 and 5.0"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Richy - Stilo 300 with 2010 Simmer Icons and Irons
"Had an afternoon on my 5m icon with the 400 mast , it was quite gusty, choppy and patchy and about 25mph gusting 45mph ,others blown off the water on 4m , 4.2m and 4.5m at the windiest. next day out on the 5.7m iron and 430 mast , not as windy but not as gusty patchy either . the sails look different on the beach compaired to the ezzy and powerex masts, i set them on the maverx with the leach loose half way across the sail between batten 1 and 2, that makes the leach a quarter loose between battons 2 and 3 , and a tiny bit loose between batons 3 and 4 . the ezzy mast makes the leech fall away dramaticaly only beween battens 2 and 3 .

on the water the sails felt really good , not as front handed , just a touch, also had a very smooth power delivery , still powerfull and no body could keep up with me so fast as well. tried them with less downhaul as well , almost a tight leach but didnt like them like that ,felt very graby when getting going and didnt keep planing very well, so put the downhaul back on and shot off the beach again at full speed. the tips of the sails wag around a bit like an ezzy sail as well , noticed more on the iron, could just be i had a touch more downhaul on it though. all in all I think they feel like an upgrade compaired to the ezzy and just a touch better than the powerex. more testing to follow next windy day."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tim - Stilo 200 with Simmer Icon 2010
"The mast makes the rig feel so light and the sail has a huge wind range. All my other rigs now feel very heavy"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Toby - Gaastra manic 2011
I have tried my 5.3 on a 400 bottom and 430 top and it works very well, its suppose to rig on a 400 but is just a little soft, this combination is good and the sail seems perfect.

Spot On Water are now stocking MaverX masts. The shop is in a great position being only 300 meters from Avon Beach or the flat water of Christchurch Harbour. You can check out the masts and have a great sail all at the same time.

We are half way through the Fuerteventura Wave Classic which has had some very big conditions, nearly double mast high.
More news is that Thomas Traversa has been testing out masts for the past year along with other brands and he has decided to use MaverX Stilo 300 this year for all his PWA and Wave Classic events. We are really please to have Thomas on board as it is hard to sign up PWA sailors as they are normally tied into contracts with their sail sponsor. The fact that Thomas tested and then chose MaverX above his sail sponsors masts says a lot for how compatible MaverX masts are with most sail ranges.

Interview with Claudio Cazzara MaverX brand manager. FWC = Fuerteventura Wave Classic organisers.
FWC: Hello Claudio, how did you hear about the FWC
Well, being a windsurfer myself , I knew about the FWC from the beginning, three years ago. It was just the community tam-tam.
FWC: What is your favorite aspect of the FWC
It is about the same spirit on which the FWC it based itself. The “insider” judgment method makes the whole think less passive from a rider point of view yet not less competitive. The other great factor is about the place where it is hosted, a pure paradise for windsurfing and great venue for a manufacturer to prove their quality.
FWC: How long have you been making masts?
It is more than 20 years now!! It might not have been that known that Reglass has been the first company in the world to produce the first CARBON mast in prepreg. We have been the manufacturer for almost all the biggest sailmakers when we decided to create our own brand MaverX that is on the market since early 2000. We proved our technology in 2004 when we helped Finnian Maynard to set the new world speed record with a standard production RDM mast!
FWC: Do you focus only in wave masts ?
Oh no, we do not! We have a full range of masts from hardcore wave to freeride and slalom/race both RDM and SDM although only in high carbon content ( 65 % to 100%).
FWC: we have a good forecast for big waves, why are your mast so good?
It is a blend of few ingredients: :Innovation, technology, experience, team work, passion for details and for the this sport. Our chemical guys look always for the newest material available on the market to have the best possible mechanical response (reflex) and resistance of course. Then we send our masts to our testers which ride different conditions and different sails to be sure we match with the adequate curve almost all type of sails. We hear their feedback, we mix the all things together with passion and voila. The whole process which is here 2 lines is about a window of time of around 18 months…every time, every model and for all sizes. To set up our newest top performing wave rdm , X1000 Limited edition, we have started to working to the project in 2009.
FWC: well thanks very much for your support to the FWC project.
Thanks to FWC for being real! Ciao a todos, have fun!!!!

MaverX Masts 2011

STILO 165 HEAVY DUTY - RDM 65% carbon prepreg.

With this mast, MaverX has set new standards in terms of performance and reliability at an affordable price yet using prepreg technology and being a fully made in Italy product.
This year, after extensive testing on the newest freestyle and wave sails, we’ve come up with the new evolution of the mast,

the Stilo 165 Heavy Duty.

The curves on all models have been modified according to length to match the specific use of different sail sizes. The boom area has been reinforced with a high resistance material .

These modifications have enhanced both the reflex and the manoeuvrability of the mast smoothening out the ride and making the whole rig more stable, especially when overpowered.
The new Stilo 165 HD is the perfect choice for hardcore on-shore conditions we usually have here in Europe. Available sizes: 370 to 460pecially when overpowered.

STILO 2OO - RDM 85% carbon prepreg.
The Stilo 2OO is a Wave-Freestyle mast, made in prepreg technology with an 85% Carbon percentage, which ensures extremely high performance and a reflex (response) that can greatly widen the wind range in which the sail is used. It’s an excellent mast for wave riding but it really shines in side-offshore conditions where our athletes and testers have fine-tuned its characteristics. This result was achieved by optimizing the design process and by using top quality carbon fibres. The mast is extremely easy to control, making reliability, responsiveness and dynamic reflex its key features. Compared to last year’s model, the boom area has been reinforced with a high resistance material as well as the very top of the mast, which is often left exposed when used on sails having a vario top as many 2011 models have. The bottom has been also coated with a protective transparent foil to help protecting the mast against scratch and dents plus saving graphics against wear and UV rays. After continuous use the masts keep looking good.  We believe that for  such a high performance mast this is an appreciated added value.  eve that for  such a high performance mast this is an appreciated added value.

STILO 3OO - RDM 100% carbon prepreg.
The Stilo 3OO is our absolute “top performer”, a competition mast, one of the lightest and most performance oriented masts ever produced by MaverX. Built entirely in prepreg technology, with a  100% carbon percentage, it was designed specifically to obtain a curve that not only fits best all the new generation sails, but also enhances their performance on the water. The lightness and dynamic response of the Stilo 3OO are perceived by any given rider, who can actually feel the wind powering up the sail.
This translates in an active behaviour which helps getting on the plane, especially in light or gusty wind conditions. These characteristics allow the rider to use  smaller sails. Compared to the 2010 model, we have slightly modified the curves to enhance their reactivity on 2011 sails, that tend to use the same mast for different sizes. It’s an excellent freestyle mast,  a discipline in which acceleration is vital, as well as in on-shore wave conditions, where you need to get out the impact zone as fast as possible. These are the main reasons that made the Stilo 3OO the weapon of choice by the best athletes, who use it to compete at the highest level.
Furthermore, compared to the previous year model  the boom area has been reinforced with a high resistance material as well as the very top of the mast, which is often left exposed when used on sails having a vario top as many 2011 models have. The bottom has been also coated with a protective transparent foil to help protecting the mast against scratch and dents plus saving graphics against wear and UV rays. After continuous use the masts keep looking good
These are the main reasons why the Stilo 3OO is the perfect mast that MaverX offers to all  riders  that want to get the best for winning competitions or just enjoying the conditions. Whatever, whenever.

For Wave Sailors Only
1OOO Limited edition. Hardcore wave - RDM 100% carbon prepreg
This brand new, tailor-made mast was created for the toughest wave riders, those that sail in difficult and heavy conditions. We have closely monitored the feedback of the wave riders and have launched this new pure wave mast on the market, to give them the best possible mast to enhance the whole rig performance. The main goal was to create a mast as reactive as a Stilo 300 but having the responsiveness and the smoothness in landings jumps of the Stilo 200. A mast that could withstand huge backloops, where torsion and stress of the carbon fibres are extremely high. A mast that, could allow the rider to sail in very heavy conditions in full control, where you need to be absolutely sure that the mechanical qualities are fail-proof.
The only solution, which had already been used by other brands, was to place another layer of fibres at an angle of  45° over the existing vertical and horizontal ones but the results and weights had not been very satisfactory. Our Team worked really hard, for over a year on the design and testing on the water, we have been able to use a new type of carbon fibre that ensures great torsional resistance other than the typical mechanical characteristic of sheer and compression of carbon. MaverX is the first one to benefit this technology. The testing went on for various months in some of the hardest wave spots around the globe, like Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Sylt, Tarifa and Sardinia. The final result of all this work is the  new 1OOO Limited Edition, a RDM 100% carbon mast born and developed especially for being used in the waves, with strong and gusty winds, where safety and reactivity are the key factors, when flying ten meter high into the sky or ripping the lip in the critical section of the wave.
We have tested these masts on power wave sails, where it really works best ( Combat, Alpha, Atlas, Iron, Ezzy, K.Onda, ,Ego, Force, Session,Lipwave….)
The boom area and the top of the mast have been reinforced with a high resistance material about 50cm long. The bottom has been also coated by a protective transparent foil to help protecting the mast against scratch and dents plus saving graphics against wear and UV rays. After continuous use the masts keep looking good

We are sure that our products will be a benchmark for wave masts for many years to come. For us this is just what R&D is all about.
Being a tailor-made product, this mast will only be available in a limited amount, with a dedicated graphic to all the spots that we have been sailing during the various months of testing.

DAYTONAPRO slalom race mast
100% carbon prepreg. Made in Italy

This is the highest performance mast ever built by MaverX, thanks to the use of more technologically advanced carbon fibres ( with extremely high mechanical characteristics) which have been specifically preimpregnated to achieve exactly the characteristics we wanted to excel in this extremely technical discipline.
The curves have been studied thoroughly, taking into account the precious feedback given by out test riders on the water. Every detail has been checked because in this discipline the slightest difference in the rig can mean the difference between winning or  losing.
The all new Daytona Pro 430 and 460 and feather-weight masts feature an extremely high dynamic response. The 490 modes have been revised to better adapt the modern slalom sails with new curves. The Daytona Pro 550 was made for both Race and Formula sails, that need extremely light and performing masts in order to translate every single gust into immediate speed and acceleration, through the rig to the  board.
The construction concept and results focus on the use of an extremely high tech material l, which is then fully impregnated by our chemical department, in order to achieve the perfect curve and   which ensures the maximum power and profile in the lower section of the sail.

WAVE-FREESTYLE

MaverX Masts Technolgy

Technolgy
MaverX are not just another “branded mast”, the parent company Reglass are responsible for making most of the top end, high carbon percentage masts for the worlds  leading brands. If anyone knows about masts it is Reglass.
MaverX use exclusive carbons to get the best possible performance. Not content with “buying in” someone else’s pre preg they actually make it themselves in a highly controlled environment.

So having established that Maverx masts use the most advanced carbons available, does it really matter, can you feel the difference? In short – yes, on the Stilo 165 the difference is in the strength compared to other masts. The Stilo 200 is exceptionally strong yet has the response equivalent of most other brands 100% carbon masts. It’s the Stilo 300 where you can really feel the difference. Rig your sail on a Stilo 300 and it does alter the feel of the rig compared to any other 100% carbon mast. The sail sets the same but it will feel more lively and direct, a very similar feeling you get if you change from a standard construction board to the “pro version”, it’s the same board but it feels more “alive and responsive”.
The 1000ltd mast uses exclusive carbons that result in a more supple mast especially designed to be able to flex and distort under extreme conditions such as landing big back loops and when things don’t quite go to plan in a big wave environment. The 1000ltd is without doubt the most advanced wave mast in the world.

MaverX International Warranty

General Warranty
Every MaverX product is carefully inspected prior to delivery and is covered by a 12 months Warranty from the purchase date for production defects. In order for Warranty to be considered valid, it will be necessary to certify the date and place of purchase together with the product description (type and model). In any case, Warranty can be curtailed should the defect be claimed over 2 months from the cause.
EXTENDED warranty in Surfing conditions for 2010 RDM masts.
The 2010 RDM masts (Stilo serie) will be covered by warranty (1 year) if breakage occurs in surfing conditions i.e. in between waves or shore break. This exclude of course breakage due to impact with rocks or sand or after a wrong rotation landed with the top of the mast but only due to the action and force of the sea. Any breakage occurring in a zone from the tip of the mast on the top section to 1,5 meter below it, is certainly due to an impact and warranty cannot be claimed.

FAQ
1) Using a mast from a different brand of the sail could lower the sail perfomances?
It depends on the quality of the mast. The sail is designed around the mast and although for obvious reasons sail manufacturers declare that only the original mast works properly being engineered around the relevant sail curve, it has to be said that the curve it is one among many aspects to be considered. Today the majority of modern sails can be fitted with constant curve masts (i.e. a gradual and homogeneous curve along the mast length) and almost all new generation masts match very well to the different sail designs; the difference it is all placed among the quality of the carbon fibre chosen and the precise control of the process that allow for the creation of a mast with a superior dynamic response (reflex).

2) What is the reflex?
It is one of the most important characteristic of a mast and it mostly depends on the carbon fibre selection, on the percentage of its mixture with glass fibre and on the final design. You can describe it as the ability that the mast has to bring back to the original shape a sail deformed by the wind in the quickest possible way  that is to say a sail ready to exploit every next wind impulse.

3) A mast with huge reflex is the best choice then?
Reflex alike the curve represents one among many of the factors the make a mast better than another. In fact, too much reflex could generate a very difficult mast to handle. The shape, the stiffness, its structure must create a very reactive element yet soft i.e. easy to handle while surfing. This translates into better power handling or less rider fatigue. These are fundamental aspects that make the difference in performance and price of all masts available on the market. Not only the curve, not only the reflex but the perfect blend of all design factors and of the carbon fibre selection. If a given sail is built around its “original” 100% carbon mast but is using lower carbon fibre quality, it will have its efficiency reduced compared to a 70% carbon MaverX Mast that only has the best possible carbon fibres and maniacally optimizes the design between reflex, stiffness and strength.

4) How can I know my sail will have a perfect profile using a MaverX Mast?
We keep on testing  our masts  all year long handling them over to our testers and athletes that use a wide range of sails from the most known  and spread  brands. To proof that we could talk about the results MaverX is having at an international level, we could endlessly show off our speed world record, our 1st Place on the European Freestyle Championship or more practically we ask you to go to your favourite shop and rig one of our Masts on your sail. But a good sail profile it is just the starting point. What makes our Mast a stand alone machine among all others is its dynamic response, the way it shines your sail efficiency. Unfortunately there is no better way to check this out than trying it on the water.

5) RDM or SDM for my sail?
Unless the luff is specifically designed to host only RDM, you can choose RDM or SDM masts according to your preference. The best choice depends on the discipline you practise and on your experience.

6) How can I know then when  to use a RDM or a SDM Mast?
A RDM Mast has thicker walls and that to have the same stiffness of a bigger diameter mast; therefore it will be relatively heavier of the standard mast of same length and carbon content but for this reason it will also be less fragile. Practising wave in extreme conditions, Freeride if the catapult still is one of your favourite move or Freestyle, there is no doubt that the RDM Stilo is the best possible choice you can make. If you are into Freeride/Slalom/Race and you are looking for sail stability, for immediate boost of power, a SDM mast as the new MaverX Crossover, the Daytona Pro or our test winner drop shape Fireball will grant you with a sure bonus.

7) What different feelings I will experience by using a RDM instead of a SDM?
A RDM Mast leaves more luff “available tissues” and therefore the feeling is more that of a spring, less “power on/off” due to the extension delay of the extra luff under wind gusts. In strong windy conditions, this is a factor your arms can appreciate; this is something you can translate into more time spent on the water especially if you are a tad out of training. Furthermore the battens of sail rigged on a RDM Mast  rotate much easier and this is a clear advantage for freestylers. On the contrary, a SDM mast provides a more stable and precise profile to the sail that  will be more reactive, quicker on planing and faster. These are advantages mostly searched by athletes into Freeride, Slalom and/or Race or in light wind conditions. In this case the feeling is more direct and the sail response more immediate.

8) What does it indicate the carbon percentage?
The carbon percentage describes the ratio between the carbon fibre and the glass fibre contained in a mast. The higher the carbon percentage the lighter the mast and bigger its ability to excel your sail efficiency due to its superior dynamic characteristics.

9) What percentage shall I have to use? What the difference among the various percentages around?
In the market you have options ranging between 30% and 100% masts and among them different carbon qualities. A 100% carbon mast anyhow may not represent the most obvious choice: in overpowered conditions  may be topped with a nice swell, for the non professional surfer a  lower carbon content mast like our Stilo 150 or Stilo 200 might be more enjoyable. They guarantee for sure a less nervous surfing in difficult conditions per se and - being RDM - a safer choice between waves since they are  more robust. Furthermore the whole Stilo series is guaranteed against breakage in surfing conditions. The Stilo 300 with its 100% carbon content represents the no compromise choice, awesome feelings that in extreme conditions wants to be “tamed”. Same situation while practising Freeride where our drop shape Fireball 150 or the new 2010 Crossover will allow you the perfect equilibrium between fun and quality at a very affordable price. Similarly the Fireball 200 represents the top choice and together with the Daytona Pro the most prestigious way to fully exploit the power and efficiency of your sail.

10) I am a beginner; can I be satisfied with a 30% carbon mast?
We think you shouldn’t. In a way beginners that are in constant contact with the rig (uphauling, recovering, water starts) or girls for which the weight is not a negligible factor, would be absolutely pleased by a lighter, easier to handle mast. Think how true this is: in many cases a heavy rig is  the negative  key for letting windsurfing down. A mast with a carbon content lower than 50% has on its side just the price and this does not compensate the cons of its weight and very low performances. A MaverX Crossover or a Fireball 150 are the perfect compromise between performance, quality, weight and price. If you are on a budget, there is no doubt you should save some pennies on the sail instead of the mast. Remember that a good sail rigged on a bad mast will always be less performing than a top quality mast fit in a very bad sail. None can deny that.

11) How much does a MaverX warranty last?
MaverX masts are guaranteed 1 year from the purchasing date against manufacturing defects and if broken under normal use. Furthermore for the 2010 new collection RDM masts only (Stilo series), the warranty is extended even if the breakage occurs in surf conditions!!! (in waves). For a complete copy of the warranty, please check SupportX/Warranty and check how to ask for replacement and verify if the product is eligible for a warranty replacement.
Mmaterial defects especially in carbon composites become evident during the initial period of continuous use. Breakages occurring after this initial period are unlikely to be associated with either a material or manufacturing defects. Usually the cause of successive breakages can be attributed to solicitation other than material or manufacturing defects. However, in all cases, Warranty will be at the discretion of the Manufacturer.

MaverX masts history

Who we are

MaverX produces the most performing windsurfing Masts to get the best out of your rig whatever is your sail and boom because we know what is important to improve the efficiency of the sail. This is not a common achievement. Beyond this result there is a blend of 30 years of experience and passion.
The experience of the carbon fibre composite machining comes from Reglass Spa, an Italian Company, a world leader in this field.
Reglass has its premises in that very tiny Italian territory that gathers what best the Italian technology is able to produce: Ferrari, Ducati, Lamborghini, companies all very close by that have contributed to spread the usage of carbon and developed  its technology. Full-blooded leaders that have possibly created something of tremendous importance: a stupendous passion for competing, a constant search for the victory, a desire for the beauty.
Reglass has transmitted its know how through the passion of water sports by creating the Windsurfing Division that has given birth to the brand MaverX, the maker of our jewels.
MaverX handles all the manufacturing processes in-house from the carbon fibre prepreg creation to the final quality controls and does not produce only technologically advanced Masts; MaverX strives after results. In the tradition of competing to win a greatest reward for the dedication put in our Masts has come to light when MaverX helped Irish athlete Finian Maynard to set the new sailing world speed unbeaten for more than 11 years. He did the job with a standard production serie mast, the Stilo 300 RDM 400cm  on a Naish Sail) available to any surfer.
The Mast is concealed by the beautiful sail, you cannot see it. Yet this has not prevented us to take care of the aesthetic. We succeeded by proposing a design and graphics that will make you feel proud to have something beautiful for your rig.
The MaverX collection is available on the market on a very wide range to suite all styles and needs, improved in performance, designed and developed together with our TeamX. We want you on the water safe, happy and with a better chance to win. The rest of the job is up to you. Have fun!
